Disasters are terrifying and traumatic experiences for children

Vietnam is one of the five most disaster prone countries in the world because of its geographic situation and long coastline exposed to typhoons. Hit time after time by floods, typhoons as well as droughts, the country is also on the list of priority countries of the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR)

Trees4ChildVietnam will help people respond, prepare, and recover from disasters. During a disaster, we coordinate with other aid agencies, governments and local organisations to meet the many immediate needs of affected people, particularly women and girls. While each emergency response is tailored to the needs of each situation, we focus on four humanitarian core sectors: we ensure that people have enough to eat, a roof over their head, clean water and adequate hygiene supplies, and receive assistance for their sexual and reproductive health
